Thank you for accepting me as a member to Bayou Shooter. I am a husband to an amazing wife and father to three amazing children and we all love The Lord wholeheartedly.

I am basically new to firearms. While I have always loved and appreciated guns, I’ve never picked them up as a hobby and I don’t hunt - not that I wouldn’t want to, I just haven’t.

My son has recently showed an interest in guns and I thought it would be a good time for us both to learn a lot more about them and hopefully utilize them as a way to bond with him and have fun while doing so.

Welcome aboard. Y'all interested in rifle or pistol shooting? How old is your son? Reason I ask is we have local pistol matches at Nick's in Garyville on Sunday mornings and Thursday afternoon starting March 7th. We've had several dads and there sons come and learn how to shoot and handle weapons with plenty of help available for first timers and beginners. I'll also offer to introduce y'all to weapons from .22 pistol and rifles on up if you want to PM me. I'm retired now and hang out at the range most days. Will give you the opportunity to get acquainted with firearms before you go out and buy something.
