I guess this is the best place to post this............

A buddy here at work uses a FFL in St. Gabriel for $20 for transfers.

Anybody got a better, as in cheaper FFL, in Baton Rouge? I don't mind the guys that basically work out of a little shop or their house if that matters.

Also include any differences like some guys I have run into in the past don't do a flat fee but instead want a percentage or a piece of the action.

    Thanks.

If I had any guns left (they all got lost in a terrible boating accident) I'd have to pay around $40 here in Lake Charles unless I'd bought the gun from the dealer. Used to be $25 but it's gone up and sometimes they (used to) give me a break. $15 is a great deal and probably the best I've heard of.

Of all the places I have ever lived, the best I have ever heard is $15 so I would say that is as good as it gets.

Wonder if anyone in BR can match that rate??

I was paying $30 in Houma. I did some shopping around and found a place in Thibodeaux that will do it for $15. I could not see paying $55 for a reciever and then $30 for a transfer.

LA Gun and Reloading on Siegen is 15-20. I've done 3 or 4 there. The only other place I did one was Bowie Outfitters, I think they are 20-25 but they showed me some LEO love on mine

Larry did a transfer for me recently and it was $20 so I bought another from his stock.

I've seen Jim's Firearms in BR transfer 5 guns free for a friend of mine... after he bought a 1911 from him. Maybe Jim was feeling generous, or maybe it all boils down to customer relations. I have zero FFL experience other than that.
