I recently acquired a SLICK 1903 Colt Pocket Hammerless .32 for doing some engine work to a friends car. It is an extremely early model, and is probably made around the 1905-1907 area.

Did the state, or anyone even keep record of who the pistols they made were sold to? I would love to find out the original owner of this gun, and see how many owners this thing has had. As far as I know, I am the 4th owner - but we all know thats not reliable.

    Thanks guys - DAVE

    Dave,
You can contact Colt to find out more about your firearm and where it was shipped to originally (prolly not cheap though)

    Example,
Colt Ace serial number 1711 - Early Ace pistol, blue with medallion mother of pearl grips, shipped to Max Cook, Wolf and Klar, Fort Worth, Texas on August 22, 1931 in a three gun shipment
