I havent looked at those but are you talking about inletting-sanding-protective coating or just oiling the stock?
If its just oiling the stock I have used Birchwood Casey Tru-oil a few times and love the finished product. Some like Tung oil or Linseed oil as well.
First off DO NOT RUSH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Assuming it has been sanded stained whatever, ready for oiling.
Wipe the stock down with a tac-cloth to insure its clean.
Screw two screws into tha buttstock and hang the stock be sure its secure.
Pour about 1 oz into another container, dip your finger tip and rub it into the stock -i use a circular motion- until the stock absorbs the oil from your finger.
As with all finishes multiple thin coats give the best results.
Allow stock to dry in a dust free area 24-48 hours the longer the better.
Rub the stock down with some 0000 steel wool to slick it over real good.
Wipe down with tac-cloth to insure once again its clean.
    Lather-Rinse-Repeat for 5 to 10 coats.
You will use the steel wool less and less then none.
