My little brother, an LSU student, recently pulled into his driveway after dark, when none of his roommates were home. He thought he saw a man dressed in all black standing in his carport, but it was late and he wasn't sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him. To be safe he backed out of the driveway and waited on another roommate to come home. Turns out he had driven up and scared the "spotter" off a few seconds after they smashed his back door window in. The cops cleared the house and believe they jumped the back fence and ran off. Luckily they didn't make it into the house, but this could have turned out much worse if they approached his car or if he had driven up minutes later and gone in his house.
If this has ever happened to a family member of yours, you know how I feel. He does not own a firearm and as most college students - does not have much of a budget. I'm going to help him out, but I'm on a beginning salary too.
If you have a pistol grip 12 gauge or a decent 9mm for $300 or less then send me a PM.
Open to other ideas as well. No rifles or revolvers.
