I just started hunting 3 years ago and got my first deer on Saturday December 26, 2015.
I missed one my first year hunting and missed another with a bow earlier this year.

I plan to try my hand at a European skull mount.

Congratulations! It is just as gratifying at 42 as it is at 14! Perhaps even more so because of your maturity and I hope, appreciation for the feat (and the money it takes)! :mamoru:

Congrats! I'm 50 and have only got to go hunting once and didn't see any. Unfortunately I wouldn't know what to do with it once I shot it. lol

You head to a buddies house, hang it on his skinning rack, watch his son skin it, wipe some blood on your face for pictures, put the skinned deer in a ice chest, take ice chest to processor, enjoy!!!!

    At least that's what I did. :D
