I've recently purchased a flat top Ar15. It's the dpms Panther. What length hand guard do I need if I don't want to change the gas block out?

Do you have a carbine, mid length or rifle length gas system? You want a free float rail or a2 piece? There are actually rails that will go around a standard FSB. There's eleventy bajillion options for AR handguard/rail systems

Ok. Must have copied the wrong picture. I have the dpms Panther in the 5.56.

DPMS doesn't make ANY "Panther" model rifles. The actual company is named DPMS Panther Arms.

You most likely have an Oracle, and it uses carbine length hand guards.

oracle or panther, what ever you want to call it, either way you have a carbine gas system. If you do not want to replace your gas block, you will have to settle for drop in rails. Unless you wanna dremel off any excess material needed for a free float to clear.

Yeah what you need is a basic drop-in quad rail. The install is pretty easy. You dont need a delta ring tool, but it is much easier that way. Academy or Bass Pro will likely have everything you need stock if you arn't into online shopping.
