Is it ok to shoot FMJ all the time through your rifle? I have read that it is not bad for your rifle and also that it will tear your rifling up if shot too many times. ANybody have anything on this?

No problem with it at all. What are you shooting it out of? The copper jacket is softer than your rifling.

Ask the U.S. Military. That's all they shoot.

FMJ is no different than shooting a soft point, ballistic tip, hollow point, etc..., However ALL ammo will eventually wear out a barrel. Be cautious not to buy some kind of military surplus CORROSIVE primed ammo unknowingly, because then you will definitely have problems.

Dunno, Richard... Doug (flamatrix99) was told today by a gunshow vendor that the 7.5mm Swiss he had on his table was "mildly corrosive".

Guess that's sorta like being mildly pregnant, eh?
