    Hey guys and gals,

Any thoughts on the FNX 9? I handled one a few months ago, and it felt really nice in hand. Trigger seemed very crisp and the ergonomics felt a lot like my M&P, but there was something about the gun that felt really solid -- moreso than most polymer framed guns. I had the chance to buy it used and I didn't (and yes, I'm kicking myself), and I'm wondering what others think about this particular gun?

Mind you I've never shot one, but did handle one and read a bunch of reviews when it first came out. Overall the reviews were great but where it fails is aftermarket support. Easier to stop by a store an grab a holster, mags, etc for "the big three" Glock, S&W and Springfield.

Actually owned one a few years ago, great little pistol but only there was two things that really bothered me about it. One is the freaking expensive magazines and two was the location of the safety lever / Hammer drop. Mostly it was the safety lever that I couldn't get over and irritated me so badly that I ended up trading it. Also the fact that it was a safety and a hammer drop and I couldn't disable the safety function unlike, say, a Beretta 92.
