GRETNA – The once manager of a gun store owner is being sued by his former employer for misappropriating items and money as an employee.

10-8 Tactical Gear and Supply LLC filed suit against Morey F. Butler Jr. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 16. 10-8 Tactical Gear and Supply claims it retained Butler as the manager of its firearms and accessories for several year. The plaintiff alleges it found in late 2011 that the defendant was not acting properly as the vernal manager of the store and he was terminated. A further examination of the records and accounts of 10-8 Tactical Gear and Supply found many irregularities and that the defendant had misappropriated several store items and granted himself discounts on items in excess of several thousand dollars.

The defendant is accused of failing and refusing to return the misappropriated items and refund the discounts he granted himself.

Damages in the amount of $20,000 is sought by the plaintiff.

10-8 Tactical Gear and Supply is represented by Richard J. Richthofen Jr. of New Orleans-based Richthofen & Associates LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Hans J. Liljeberg.

    Case no. 722-151.

I am not going to spend an entire thread explaining the difference between a criminal case and civil suit. Just continue with your assumptions and we will prove how the internet leads to rumors, lies and misinformation

Can you answer one question. What happens to the people that you STOLE from? Are they getting there money or guns back? Several people on this site would like to know.

And if you are trying to repair your reputation, just leave it dead and buried.

That answer has been stated over and over. We would not be closed and in bankruptcy if Whitney Bank had nit taken all the money from the company's operating account. If anyone is looking to get their money, they need to look at who took it -- Whitney Bank

They took money out because? You weren't paying your loans? Pretty sure a bank wouldn't do this for some laughes.

That doesn't answer why peoples property was taken and not given back..

Whitney bank did not take peoples firearms and not return them..

Whitney bank protected its interest when it was discovered the store was heading for insolvency..

I would think that someone with pending felony charges would keep his mouth shut instead of continuing to post on an internet forum. You need to convince a judge or jury of your innocence not bayoushooter.

The bank took the money out of your account because you owed it to them and refused to pay after repeated requests. So you were stealing from your bank and your customers and friends. Nice..

Anyone can be sued for anything today by just about any moron. Luckily the justice system assumes innocent until proven guilty.

And AFFS, your attempt at deflecting and trying to change the subject does not work.
