    Greetings Shooters!
I am interested in shooting one or all of the above over at Palo Alto.

    My setup is :
    Remington .308 5R 20" in a McRee's Precision Chassis
    A GG&G XDS 2 Bipod
    Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50
I am developing a load for it as we speak and she seems to like the 155.5 Berger Fullbore with varget.

Which F-class should I or am I allowed to shoot?
I like the field precision, and want to start shooting that competition at Palo Alto.

Im in Lafayette, where is the nearest 1000 yard range?
Is there a place to shoot long range steel?

    Thanks!

I've never heard of FPT, but you can shoot the other two at Palo Alto. You can shoot F-class in the F-TR division and Field Precision Rifle (FPR). The closest 1000yd range is probably long range alley gun club in Shreveport.

Thanks for the reply! Yea, FPR is what I meant. I guess I had better work my way up to 1000. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys out there. I used to reload and shoot at the old Hub CityRifleClub here in Lafayette about a dozen years ago. There were a bunch of old time benchresters who used to shoot there as well. I gained tons of knowledge from those guys.
