    What does the back end of it look like? Does it have an angle to it? Or is it flat? What kind of part is it from? Rock River Arms? Stag? Colt? CCA? etc etc.

    The car mil-spec diameter is smaller, I will look for the link that shows the diameter. It was on the Magpul site.

    Mil-spec threads are rolled into the tube, and the threads will be larger diameter than the tube itself.

    The Peak of the threads on a commercial tube will the the same height as the tube itself, as they are cut into the tube.

    If this doesnt make any sense, take pictures of the threads of the buffer tubes, and post em.
