    Makes me moist. :fawk:

Uh, how about our Steel Bender. I'm trying to get it down here to use for the summer. 6.4 Hemi swap! The "soul of the Swamp" Jeep will be here soon too.

The JK8 Recon has the 5.7 swap and 39's, it's been stretched 10", has Dana 60 front, Dana 80 rear, machine gun turrets, bomb proof floor, etc etc. It still got 13 city, 16hwy.

Been kicking around the idea of getting a different commuter car because my 7 year old isn't getting any smaller and the 2 doors aren't getting any bigger. This car is really my got work car that saves me lets of gas $$, but I find us using it. More and more because it gets more than double the MPG of anything else in the yard.
The wall I am hitting is its almost like it gets too good MPG? In looking up the .gov listing for mpg on various vehicles ( the numbers they put on te window I new cara that you can rarely get close to), my car is listed for 36 highway, 28 city and 31mpg combined. I have ha it just over a year and the worst tank yet was 36.5 mpg ( lots of stop and go and hammering on it) and best was 42.8 ( almost all highway at about 70mph). Several tanks over 42 and average is spot on 40mpg.
Car is a 02 civic coupe 1.7l, 5speed, completely stock.
Most other vehicles have the advertised numbers that are not reachable unless you are going 40mph with a 30 mpg tail wind.
I could live with less mpg for a bigger car, but can't see giving up 15mpg in a similar sized car.
So, what are you driving and what mileage are you getting? List engine and trans if you know it

    mine:
    2002 Honda civic 2 door 1.7/ 5 speed 42 hwy, 36 in town
    2000 f250 4x4 crew can 6.3 diesel/ 6 speed - 17-18 unloaded
98 jeep TJ 4.0/ 5 speed 17 on highway, 12 or less normally though
2012 jeep JKU 3.6/ auto 15-17 highway, 14 avg local ( wife has a very short drive)

Last 5 years of cars, along with my personal observations of mileage, how much rwhp they had approximately, and the best approximate times I could find for the 1/4 mile on the internet for said vehicle.:

    2001 Trans Am WS.6 6-speed: 19mpg around town, 27mpg highway @300rwhp alleged 12.9 1/4 mile
2002 Infiniti G20 automatic: 24mpg around town, 30mpg highway @120rwhp alleged to have actually completed the 1/4 mile
    2011 Z06: 18 mpg around town, 26mpg highway @450rwhp alleged 10.9 1/4 mile
    2012 370Z manual: 19mpg around town, 24mpg highway @300rwhp---Alleged 13.0 1/4 mile

All highway driving is around 75mph with A/C and radio. All around town is a mix between 50/50 city streets with speed limits of 25-55 and local highway with a limit of 60.

2007 Prius - 45mpg city and 48-51mpg highway @70ish mph. Don't buy one. Don't even slightly consider it.

Other than continuing the dick measuring contest, the rest of our vehicles get sub-15mpg, and I don't feel like typing them out.

I knew when I bought my Xterra it wasn't an economy vehicle. My one complaint regarding the fuel mileage isn't the expense (well, yes, I'd love better mileage!) but instead the range. I'm limited to less than 300 miles per tank full. I wish they would either offer a 2nd tank or a larger tank...
