If the NS were original and they are dim it may be a Gen.2 Glock or an older model which May have issues with a light installed.

It is not hard, but most night sights are not made to be tapped in/out. You will need a sight pusher. Most places will install them for free when purchasing local.
    This.

Do-it-yourself is real easy with the sight pusher tool. Otherwise, find a set you like at a local gunshop that will install them for free.

3rd generation has accessory rail (place to put a lazer or light) in front of the trigger, finger indentions and checkering on the handle. [I know the accessory rail is new for the 3rd generation, the other two i'm about 90% sure--- can wiki it to find out. ]

Make sure you have 4 rails on the slide, too

I love my G22, I have the lone wolf conversion barrel (40 cal -to- .357 sig). 357 sig fits in standard GLock 22 mags. Only problem .357 is a little more expensive to shoot.

2nd generation, you better check to make sure it has 4 rails in the frame, for the slide. I have read there was a manufactoring problem at glock and had sent some out with 3 rails.

Some of the G2's are subject to a frame recall, another reason I prefer the G3.
