I'm sure this has been discussed at nauseum.

I have never got a conceal carry because I drive sometimes through blue states, and it might as well be nazi Germany if they think you have a weapon on your person.

    What are the benefits?

    Thanks.

Reciprocal states typically honor other states’ concealed carry permits, but I’m not sure that all (or any?) allow permitless/Constitutional concealed carry from out-of-state residents. Perhaps someone can clarify.

Reciprocity if traveling to friendly states, no 4473 wait time when buying through and FFL, civil liability protection per SB2.

I missed that one. Buying a new firearm is easier at the FFL because all that is required of CHP holders is a simple check by the FFL that the CHP is still active. I think there’s a State of LA website where the CHP number is entered and done.

Especially if your name is common (e.g., John Smith, Michael Jones…) a CHP is gold when purchasing at an FFL.

Out of all the states with constitutional carry only one or two are resident only. I THINK that's Montana and North Dakota but don't take that for gospel. All of our bordering states are absolutely good to go for exercising our rights. It is important to note that constitutional carry isn't exactly the same in every state though and may have some significant differences in where you can and can't carry without a permit, storage laws etc.
