Its not JUST the pill....My buddy that lives in yuppieville (aka Madisonville @ $400k & up subd) who has been married 15 years and has two kids ages 7 & 10 is walking on nails now due to "equipment failure" from some weekend frolic w/his bride. We have spoke about this for almost 2yrs and the reason he keeps telling me he hasn't been snipped yet is, well, hes scared, how f'ing scared you think he is now!

The only think keeping me from it is the persistent rumors about increased risk of ED, etc. I keep hearing about it, but noone I KNOW who has had a vasectomy has any issues to report--but if they did, I don't know if they would share that, anyway.

I heard it from people who heard it from...

but man, when it's your piece you are talking about, even the dumbest little doubt/rumor is enough to make you want to further investigate.

When in doubt, pull it out!
I remember studying in University 101 (yes, that was the name of the class. They made all scholarship students attend it at LSUS when I went there) about the odds of success for the "pull-out" method. It wasn't very good, but practiced properly, it was a helluva lot better than I thought it would be, purely based on the numbers.

Supposedly it was good enough that the hebrew god killed a man for using it! Strong endorsement, there!

Hack Job much! Onan was killed for directly disobeying God's command of the responsibilities of a brother-n-law of those times.

He didn't just 'Pull-out' and then was killed instantly by God.

    C'mon man!

as for the rest of this discussion I'll just have to stay away...

Genesis 8Then Judah said to Onan, “Lie with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to produce offspring for your brother.” 9But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. 10What he did was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so he put him to death also.

What he did was wicked because he knew it would prevent a child from coming to be, and God agreed. No child came of it, either. Hence, it has the Big Man's seal of approval for an effective method of birth control. I made no hack-job of it.

There is no such thing as "SAFE SEX". If you don't trust the other person with your life, you shouldn't be playing the game.

    and

So God kills a guy for pulling out and you see that as a sign of approval?
I think the message there was obey God or die.

    Hey, just my 5 cents.
