I have a new Gen 4 Glock 19 and have noticed what I would consider a weak recoil spring strength. I bought a new Sig Pro 9mm a few months ago and that recoil spring was much stiffer than my Glock. After about 700-800 rounds (read as broken in), my Sig Pro recoil spring still feels a bit stronger than my new Glock 19. Are Glock recoil springs just not as strong as other manufacturers or is it possible that the spring on my 19 is just weak (hard to believe and statistically unlikely I will grant you)? What is the experience of other Glock owners?

I ask because the felt recoil on my 19 is much higher than my Sig Pro. I realize the SP is also heavier, but as a polymer base pistol, I don't feel as if the weight is that drastically different.

So Glock owners, what do you think, and thanks for any input and info.

I would only compare pistols of the same kind G19 to G19. The Gen 3 G19 recoil spring is 18#'s and the Gen 4 recoil spring is heavier than a Gen 3. I use a 15# ISMI spring on a SS rod in my Gen 3 9mm Glocks.
