hi all i am interested in getting a new glock for range use and possibly uspsa. i already have a g19 and am looking for opinions or feedback on the g34 and g17 thanks
Lot's of people prefer the G34 for any kind match application. As far as Glocks are concerned,I shoot better with G17 because a shorter sight radius works for me. Different shooters have different needs, some like a long sight radius, some like it short...like me. Even though I shoot Glocks a tad higher than my XD,if I were to shoot a match witth a Glock it would be a G17. I would suggest going to to the Shooters Club in Metairie and rent the 17 and 34 for an hour or two and see which one works best for you. They have a full line of Glocks to rent.
Why not just shoot your 19 for awhile and see how this works out. You can start with that and give yourself time to compare the others. Holster, belt, pouches and mags are the same if you plan on shooting PRODUCTION. Shoot and enjoy.

Myself AND Spanky both went this route, starting with the G-19 first. Plus it will give you more gun experience with your personal defense weapon.
I've got all 3 weapons: G-19, G-17 and a G-34. I just picked up the G-34, but I still went and shot with my G-17 yesterday. I will go to the 34 in due time. Another thing to consider, you can turn a G-17 into a pretty sweet race gun set up in a matter of minutes and then convert it back. If you decide to do this, the 17 is the way to go due to the comp on the end will give you the overall length that is equivalent to a G-34.
Here are 2 different sites that offer complete packages to convert your G-17 or 34 to a full race gun.
Have had 17's and 34's, 21's and 30's, Gen 1-III, SF or not but keep coming back to what is for me an almost perfect carry, competition, range gun.
Like a Timex, taking the lickin, keepin on tickin.
But don't let my , or anyone else's comments, stop you from getting a new gun of ANY type if newgunitis is upon you. Ain't gonna matter what we say anyway .
And hey, post pics when you get the new one. Always appreciate free gun porn.
If you want the same trigger pull as you G-19 then purchase the G-17. The G-34 has the "advantage" of a slightly longer sight radius and lighter trigger pull.
For a fun gun I'd prefer the 34. For business I'd get the 19 like you have. Might I sugest that you take a small portion of your paycheck and deposit it into a Glock account. Every few months buy a new 9mm Glock till you have all the models. 26, 17, 19 and 34.
