What are the differences between the different generations of Glocks. Are the Gen 1 Glocks good, isn't that how they got their reputation? Just wondering. Thanks

The Gen 1 Glocks had no finger grooves to start with and the major difference in the new gen is the steel frame/slide raceways are molded in. They only get better with age like fine wine. I saw a gen 1 glock at an armorers course run over by the instructor with his car and come out no worse for the wear!

The Gen 1 Model 17 I have given to my Daughter when she married also has magazines that do not drop free and the pistol has a slight finger shaped cut out on the front and back of the bottom grip area to pull the magazine free. Still a sweet gun. I have a Gen 3 23C and miss the older Gen 1. I like my Glock and all my other firearms as well. Enjoy yours. Later.....
