Will any BS vendors be there with some Gemtech subsonic .22 ammo?
How about some 9mm/45 ACP suppressors to show the husband?

Somebody tell me about this show, like, is it worth driving 3 1/2 hours to see?
About how many tables? Is there generally a good selection of stuff? Old & new?

The husband & I are thinking about doing a mini road trip for the holiday weekend and thought this might be a good one.

What else is there in/around Gonzales to see?

    Thanks!

Hampton inn near Cabellas is a nice affordable hotel. Khyber Pass Tactical is a cool store nearby if they aren't working the gun show itself.

That show is fairly large. However, the prices are higher than a giraffes butt! You can go to Cabela's next door and get the same gun for 20% less. A year ago the gun show was selling 223 ammo for $1.50 a round...gouging the hell out of us!! I won't go back because of that crap!!

That was last year with all the newtown/aurora shootings and the political climate possibly taking away our rights. Now that that's on the back burner for a while I hope their prices go down. I'm gonna go check it out to see

don't be afraid to negotiate prices...a lot of people who go to gun shows don't keep up with current market values so they pay the price tag on things. typically its not that hard to get 15-20 percent down on firearms

I will have some 22 & 45 suppressors for display/purchase at the show. But unfortunately no 22lr ammo.

If you come this far, feel free to drop buy our place. We will be open Today from 12-5. We only have a few suppressors on display, but have about 80 in the pipeline. No 22lr yet, soon, very soon. We probably have the best handgun selection in town next to Jim's, but we have a different pricing strategy than Jim's....

That kind of gouging is really an insult to one's intelligence. Unfortunately, there are those that don't know any better and continue to buy the stuff from these vultures! And with Cabela's just next door! I for one will never go to another one.

There have been many overpriced items in the BS classifieds in the last 2 years and many of them were listed by newer members.

Thats insane. 21.99 (w/ tax) is what I paid sat morning. Im very glad I didnt waste my $8 to go. Cheap mil-surplus was what I loved as a kid, when my dad would take me. And that isnt really around. I'd lose sleep at night if I tried to sell things at those prices.

    Baton Rouge... Mostly
    I bought 3 S&W's for $300 and under... A 4th for $350, and got quite the deal on a beretta 21a
Also picked up a $100+ Swedish hatchet for $40

Passed on a MAK 90 for $500 I probably should of bought, a $400 Hi Power, and a little 3rd gen Smith semi for $300.

Oh, and due to the way I'm feeling these days I didn't even manage to walk the whole show 2x.
