Good AR price?

I recently saw S&W's "optics ready" AR selling for $799, with a $100 mail in rebate or 5 30 round mags. Is this a good deal on a first AR?

You can buy a "base" Olympic / S&W / DPMS / CDNN - in the $600-800 range, depending on barrel and accessories.

Top of the line AR's run in the $2k+, but I really haven't noticed a big difference for the huge price jump.

That link goes to a page in their catalog. They don't have firearms on their site. They are primarily phone based, just give them a call. They are great people to deal with.

Thats not to bad, that's what? only 12 inch's at 300yards, you can still hit the zombie, if he doesnt move, there is no wind, you don't breath while pressing the trigger, and have a concrete bench to shoot off of when they attack

If its a zombie horde even if you're off you will still hit a zombie.

They also say "BRING ENOUGH GUN" and IMHO 5.56/.223 ain't gonna cut it... so at least make it an AR 10 If'n you're huntin' Zombies
