government surplus ammo boxes

Hi, has anyone ever thought about getting a group buy together for surplus ammo cans? We would need someone from the Fort Polk area to pick them up. Right now they are selling pallets of 5.56, 120MM and 7.62. I hope I posted the link correctly.

Okay that's an auction, I thought $150 was cheap for 3 pallets of boxes I may bid on the 3 pallet lot of mixed boxes depending on what it does next week.

Problem was finding dependable people with the $$.

This is also the best place to get brass from. But I could not get a group of dependable people together last year with $$ for that.

But this is where EVERY major seller of "once-fired" brass get their brass from.

none left. After the BS people got what they wanted I sold the rest at a gun show last year. Went like hotcakes.

Best part was I traded another dealer at the gun show 1 rack for 20 black PMAGS.

Nola, Post Up The Details About The Brass Again

Looking at the mixed lot, there must be around 100 of the smaller cans, plus the larger ones look like close to 50 a pallet. Try buying them on line and you will pay more for shipping than the cost of the can. If someone is registers and willing to bid on them, we need to do it in shares, Split them evenly, say we get 5-10 people to put in and win the auction. Even at $300 for the lot, thats pretty cheap for the amount of cans. I am willing to go in for a share. Any other suggestions?
