    I found a gsg5, and have been thinking about buying it. I would like some feedback from anyone that actually owns one. How well do they shoot? Accurate? Reliable? Pros? Cons?

    Thanks

    They are a blast. I have one and rockmup has a few. They are a plinking toy and are easy to dump a lot of money into. I have an aimpoint on mine and a collapsible stock and will probably get even more stuff for it.

    I know where a NIB one is for 500 shipped if you are interested.

    they really need to make a commercial mp5 clone in 9mm

    They do; Cohaire Arms CA89 (the top one in the photo).

    OPer, the GSG5 is a really fun shooter. Just bear in mind that it was a German airsoft company's 1st foray into real guns, so the workmanship, dependablility, & materials are a little lacking (less that a Ruger 10-22, for example).

    My ratings:
    quality/durability is about 7 out of 10;
    appearance/fun to shoot is 10 out of 10;
    Customer support is 10 out of 10; and
    Dependablility 7 out of 10.

    I'd like to add to this a little. Regardless of who made it you must maintain them. period. theres no getting around it. Its a .22 and as such is dirty as all heck. but if you like EBG's you can't hardly beat them for fun.

    I stopped counting at 10K but I'm sure my pistol whent over 14K this last weekend. Great gun and I could have sold six of them on the spot if I'd had them. When was the last time you put 2K through a gun and did nothing to it ? The only issues I had were related to ammo.

    There is a lot you can/must to to get them to run right but it easy.
    And if you don't want it send it my way

    I just can't justify spending $500 on a .22, now matter how fun it is. But thats me. I'd still like to have one.

    I got to shoot one and while it was pretty cool, I think $500 is a bit much. The one I shot had a fake silencer on it to make it "legal" with the collapsible stock. Back in December there was one at 10-8 Tactical for $480; the guy's I shot was over $600 from Gretna gun works!!!
