I have a question for the hk owners. I’m looking at a usp40 in stainless that was sold in 2004. Has all paperwork and case. How can I find out what would be a fair market price for it. What should I look for as far as inspection?

If excellent condition, I'd say $600. If good to fair, I'd say $500. If poor, I'd give $300-400. Most H&Ks last longer than we'll ever need them. Because it's in 40, you can probably go lower. Most 40 caliber guns are selling for much less than their 9mm counterparts.

Keep in mind the polygonal rifling when inspecting the barrel. You wont see definitive lands and grooves, ive heard of people thinking the barrel was shot out because they couldn't see the lines.

I bought an unfired USP 40 stainless for $525 back in 2014. Then i immediately changed it over to a match trigger, adjustable sights, Match Barrel, and a Steel Match Weight from www.brownbeargear.com
