I really liked him.... successful CEO, no nonsense, flat taxes. I also don't think the GOP stands a chance without putting a black, female, or interracial candidate in place against Obama, all tax/dodgy BS aside w/ Romney. Too many different races in this country that will vote for Obama on his color alone. Do I agree with it? Of course not, but it's the truth.

I was riding the Cain train from the time when Trump was out of the race. The national media has killed all my hopes and dreams!

DEFINITELY better! I was behind Cain 1000%. Sad that a load of unsubstantiated crap took him out of the race. Either there was some merit to the accusations (which I doubt) or, more likely, he and his family decided that fighting the liberal media and the muckraking would have taken too much of a toll on them.
Funny how nothing more was ever said about the allegations, once they had served their purpose...

I think he would have been better than Romney! MHO!

Possibly a good VP choice if his character hadn't been assassinated. I was on the Cain train too but the more I thought about it the more I figured he'd be a sheep among wolves. His banking experience wouldn't have prepared him to juggle the Dems in Washington. Romney was a (slightly) better choice, warts and all.

No doubt. Cain had the courage to speak his mind without calculating all political nuances.

Romney is a conniver and unworthy of trust. Part of the establishment Republican problem. Not the freedom solution.

Surprised to hear you say that, Charles. I did not see ANY credible proof whatsoever that any of the allegations were even remotely true. Most of the "victims" were anonymous; one of them lived in the same building as Rahm Emanuel IIRC and had money problems, etc. Plus, funny how NOBODY else outside of Chicago ever had any sort of problems with Herman Cain "harassing" them, though he lived and worked in many places, in large corporate envionments full of women, besides that festering hellhole of a city.
Innocent until proven guilty, I say. And, note that once he withdrew, none of the bimbos said another word. IMO, it was a pure fabricated hitjob; paid whores selling themselves to the DNC.

2 of 5 women remained anonymous

When Cain was head of National Restaurant Association ago he was accused by two women of sexual harassment.
National Restaurant Association paid a out of court settlements to those women.

One remained anonymous and one came out.

A 3rd woman claimed she was verbally harassed by Cain, but never filed a claim. She remained anonymous.

All this was in Washington D.C.

The 4th woman says she flew to Wash. D.C. from Chicago after getting fired from the National Restaurant Association in 1997 to ask Cain for a job.
She said Cain touchy-feeling and wanted a BJ in a car after drinking.

She once lived in the same building that also housed an Obama aid.

Ginger White was a "friend" that said she and Cain would have on and off again affairs. He was buying he gifts, giving her money, and flying her across the country so they could met up.
    She lived in Atlanta.
I put "friend" in quotes b/c Mr. White is apretty horrible friend to put all your sexual business out on the national stage.

So... We have 5 verbal claims, plus Gloria Allred. The National Restaurant Association settled "their" 2 claims at a very low level, and Cain was never even asked about them. (UNTIL he ran for President, that is.)
No hard evidence of the supposed gifts, airplane flights, money transfers, etc. (all of which would be EASY to prove) has ever been presented, to my knowledge.

Again, it seems that "Innocent until proven guilty" was thrown out for Mr. Cain as far as 0sama throws out the Constitution.

Don't get me wrong - If one or more of these women showed concrete proof, then so be it. But the only actual "evidence" I ever heard of were calls and texts to Ginger White, recipient of the supposed gifts, flights etc. For all the big deal she made about those texts, she never revealed their contents, so they couldn't have been incriminating. Just the fact that "Herman Cain called and texted me" was enough; she let the implied contents do all the work.

So, the man was "convicted" on hearsay and nothing more. Maybe he withdrew because he WAS guilty. However, there was no hard evidence to prove it. Or, maybe he just decided to say f*ck it; that running to serve a country full of people who believe this cr@p isn't worth the effort and burden to his family.

Either way, he's out, and we're stuck with Romney. Hopefully the disgust with the Socialist-In-Chief is enough to push this moderate over the top.

Good point Greg. Let me rephrase myself. He was damaged goods due to the smear campaign launched against him. The perception is he was a womanizer. He could not recover from the attack launched against him.

He denied a sexual relationship with White.
Cain: Wife didn't know about friendship, ‘financial assistance' to Ginger White

Herman Cain acknowledged Thursday that he repeatedly gave Ginger White money to help her with "month-to-month bills and expenses" without telling his wife of more than 40 years.

In fact, the embattled presidential candidate said, his wife, Gloria, "did not know that we were friends until she (White) came out with this story" alleging that the two had a 13-year extramarital affair.

Well, he who is with out sin, ect, ect..

Obama wouldn't even have been senator if not for a smear campaign against Jack Ryan and what he did with his, at that time, wife Jeri.

Know how to play politics, or the Chicago machine will roll all over you. Watch how much crap will be pulled before November. You may vote for Obama and not even know it.
