okay this might sound silly but what is a "handgun" as defined by louisiana...I looked on the lsp website and found that the law has a few definitions of "handgun" and "pistol"
"Handgun Defined. For the purpose of issuing concealed handgun permits, a "handgun" is defined as any pistol or revolver originally designed to be fired by the use of a single hand and which is designed to fire or is capable of firing fixed cartridge ammunition."
"Pistol―a handgun that has a short barrel and can be held, aimed, and fired with one hand and is capable of only firing a single round each time the trigger is pulled, which includes semi- automatic handguns."
is there any other specific definition for pistol and handgun?...I mean "short" is a relative not definite term and I would say most guns can be held aimed and fired using one hand if you try hard enough...bottom line is I'm trying to see if as chp holders can we buy ar-15 "pistols" and conceal them...any thoughts?...
