How does she feel? I've only been able to handle an ed brown once, but at the time was a little or a lot out of my price range, but dang was she smooth

The slide is tigjt but not overly tight and the trigger is about perfect. its has a nice clean break at 3.5 lbs.

I got it from my pops before he passed, I remember him saying he got it from his dad, but I actually don't know how old it is, its very interesting and fun to shoot, the best I can find is they stopped making them in 1974 I think
Man, how old this that little pocket rocket? I'm guessing 125 years plus.

Doing a little research I believe its a Erl Svenden "4 Aces" Derringer. He manufactured them in Norridge, IL and later in Brownsville, TX. until 1974 as you mentioned. It was a take off from the original 1859 Christian Sharps .22 pepperbox design.

Here is a writeup and pics of the original 1859 Sharps design. Used percussion caps and a rotating striker.

Pretty interesting and surely tiny. You can best believe many a riverboat gambler carried that formidable little pistol in their pocket after the Civil War. Maybe even some of the ladies of the south.
