nice work for a handgun,used to do that with a redhawk and a simmons years ago with black talons right outta da box 250 gr if I recall,,used to practice with L&S reloads when Larry was in business ! It took many many punishing shots to get that accurateSunday, I took a few of my old hunting handguns out of the back of the safe and brought them to the range to see if they still shoot. Here is a picture of a Ruger Super Redhawk with a 2-7x Simmons scope (that was a hot set up way back when).
It still shoots pretty well. The load is a .44 Magnum with a 300 gr Hornady XTP crimped in the rear groove over 25.0 gr of IMR4227. It does 1350 fps. Not for the faint of heart.
