Since these little crack barrel rifles have become so popular lately, what have y'all done to them? Scopes? Changed out any equipment? I'd like to see what everyone did with theirs.

I have an opportunity to use one of these for this coming Deer season.

What do y'all have? lets see 'em

This would be a wonderful deer rifle. It is a tackdriver with good ammo.

40/70. I mounted picatinny scope rail so that it is easy to swap scopes around with other rifles. Currently it has a Bushnell elite 10x40 on it, but I will be changing it out in a couple months to something smaller. I also mounted a hammer extension.

Mine is a .444 Marlin with the Plain-Jane wood funiture- still a handsome little rifle. I topped it with a Leupold VX-I 3X9 40mm (with Butler Creek flip-open covers, of course) and a Torel leather strap. Plus, I put an extended-length thumb cocker on the hammer. That helps a lot, with the scope being there.:)

My brother bought his .444 this past spring, and went with the synthetic stock. He topped it with a new Redfield 3X9 40mm....

My nephew, on the other hand, went the .500 S&W route, with fiber-optic, open sights. He downed a very nice 4pt with it just after New Years.

My son has the cva optima elite w/a sybthic stock in 45/70 w/nikon prostaff and it shoots great with the Hornady leverevolution 325 gr. ftx. It doesn't kick like a mule. Surprised the heck out of me. IMO a great little gun.

Awesome. I like it! I just bought some ammo. Two range days have been destroyed because of the rain in the afternoon for me and my buddy who has his Handi rifle. We'll get to it soon. Keep the pics coming!

45/70 with a Bushnell banner 2.5-10x50. Two does and a 6point so far. I had the factory fit a .308 barrel to it and am current modifying it to be a shorty super sniper with a folding stock. I will post pics when all the parts are back.
