    Passed with amendments.
    95 yea
    0 nay

Page 1 line 19 changed "unmixed" to "mixed"
On page 2 lines after "combined" and before "form" insert "in quantities greater than five pounds"

http://www.legis.la.gov/Legis/ViewD...use Floor Amendment #2858 St. Germain Adopted

    Sent to the Senate.

I think that is a reasonable compromise.

Here is the full text of the bill including the amendments.

    Just read it.

Going to need some time/help deciphering it though.

As in, cannot possess more than 5lbs? cannot use more than 5lbs? cannot purchase more than 5lbs at a time?
    etc.etc.etc. ..... ?

Is RS 14:54.3 the exclusive law regarding explosives?

I'm not positive but it look like there is no limit to the amount of precursor you are allowed to own, but you can only possess 5 pounds of it MIXED.

    correct.

3 tons on the left. legal.
3 tons on the right. legal.
    6 pounds mixed- illegal.

That's how I read it. I think the compromise is good. Basically, it means you will not be able to blow up more than 5 lbs at a time. You can bring plenty of precursor to the range and mix it 5 lbs at the time as often as you like.

Better tell that to the plant store that sells 50 lb bags of AN at a time. That is if by AN you mean ammonium nitrate or fertilizer.

I'm sure they will tell me it isn't pure AN, it is mixed with iron oxide, which stops it from being used as an explosive.

Total bs, really regulating things that need not be regulated, and being one of the few that touch it, it's just like black powder, but I can buy the parts to make black powder and make as much as possible, they still think a peice of paper stops people that would do that anyway, it's pretty damn funny in my book...
