I have 3 words for you... vehicle gun safe. Get a really good one and (along with a good vehicle alarm) it will limit the possibility of that happening.

Glad you got it back, but use this as a lesson. Do NOT EVER leave your gun in a vehicle. I highly suggest investing in a safe. I am not bashing because this has happened to me before as well and it is still a hard lesson learned. I always bring my guns inside and lock them up in a safe at home.
I also suggest that if you must leave it in your vehicle (for work or any other reason) invest in a lockbox for your vehicle that is bolted down somehow and preferably hidden.
I always lock my vehicle, once I locked myself out of it and when the locksmith arrived, I was shocked at how simply and quickly he was able to gain entry....it was truly scary. I am sure there are theives out there that are able to do the same.

If I have to leave mine in a vehicle I use a 3/8 cable bike lock. I ran it around the seat supports. Run it through the magwell and out the chamber.

Thanks guys... Yeah I love over in west lafayette kinda near the mall, my neighborhood is real new and real nice. Kind of a surprise to have something like this happen just in the short time I've been here.

I live in a pretty "nice neighborhood" near Camillia and Johnston, but our house was broken into awhile back and they made off with 2 handguns, 2 rifles, 3 computers and a few other items. Then a couple weeks ago my stepson's bicycle was stolen out from under the patio. Both of these incidents were in broad daylight. There is no such thing as a nice, safe neighborhood these days.

Glad you got your stuff back, CC!
