Henry .22 magnum lever action

Any reviews/opinions of the Henry .22 magnum lever actions. I'm thinking about purchasing one. The only negatives I'm hearing is the painted receiver plates.

I had one for a few weeks while a buddy went out of town. I absolutely HATED the trigger. It was like shooting an old blackpowder rifle.

I don't have the magnum, but I absolutely love my Henry 22lr. It is one of my favorite guns that I would never get rid of.

+1 my son bought one a few months ago and it's a blast to shoot. smooth action, smooth trigger.

Since I'm the only negative, I'll elaborate

I've got the Golden Boy in .22LR, and the gun is AWESOME. Beautiful finish, the wood is 9/10, and the octagon barrel is just plain badass. I warm up with this gun by shooting 12ga hulls at 40-50yds.

The Magnum really let me down with the painted receiver, cheap looking/feeling stock, plastic sight adjustment, and absolutely awful trigger pull. Maybe dry fire (ghasp!) it a few times if no one is looking to see if yours has the same crappy trigger as mine did.
