I respect their (AKForum's) decision to do so. With the number of members they have you can't expect everyone to act like rational human beings. Locking threads that "will" cause arguments keeps our hobby in a good light.
When this forum gains more members I foresee the same prob here.
Both are great forums and are the two I frequent the most.
