We talk about this all the time. We all have guns, sure. But making sure we have IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THEM WHEN WE NEED THEM THE MOST is paramount.

Ran across this article by Ayoob, and it pretty well illustrates what we already know- but this cannot be stressed enough, IMHO. (And before anyone says it- I don't care if the original idea wasn't his, blah blah blah- savvy? I just thought it was a good article and that what he is saying here is what everyone's mindset should probably be.:))

Good read. Very short and to the point. Anyone who has about 2 or 3 spare minutes should give it a quick once over. Of course, most of us already either carry at all times or have a gun within arms length of us at all times, those of us who do not could learn a lesson from this article.

Yep....It makes you think- and reminds you why you do what some consider to be "overkill". ;)

Very good read. Like said before....overkill is not a word in my vocab. If a bad guy breaks in to your house...he not coming over for coffee..the only thing you should have ready for him is a double-tap.

Great article. i've thought the very same thing. Everyone has a chair in their house that's theirs, the typical man in the family usually has a lazy boy or a rocker. watch ID discovery for a night and count the homicides where the victims are just sitting in their chairs watching tv...
which explains why I like my 1911 in the little pocket right under the arm rest..

Like I saw someone say earlier... if I am vertical my pistol is on my side. I have the pleasure however to carry it every where I go. It is a must in this day and time. Two to the body one to the head.
