Hey guys where is the best parts of Houston to stay at a hotel, looking for safe nice are with nice restaurant selection. We took a spur a moment road trip, we plan on taking the little one to the space center and museum of natural science tmrow. Any suggestions, thanks guys!

We always stay around the Galleria mall on Westheimer just outside the 610 Loop. Lots to do, plenty shopping and restaurants close by, and you are close to 45,59, and 10 which will take you anywhere you need to go

When TW (The Wife) and I go we stay on Westheimer just off beltway 8. This is in west Houston. Several hotels in the area and it's close to some very good restaurants. Not too far from the Galeria either. We have not gone in a few years now but we stayed at the Hilton a few times and the Marriotte. Both close to beltway 8. Others on the other side of beltway 8 but off the service road.

There is a sign at the La/Tx state line that says - Welcome to Texas-Its like a whole nother county....They are right, its just like crossing the border into Mexico...........

Stay away from the "asian side" belair area. Car break ins have been going on for a while now, a buddy of mines was a victim last weekend along with my boss a year ago.
seems like they are targeting out of state plates.
