    That's one of my pet peeves- the way some pop singers decide to drag the National Anthem through the mud like it's an audition.

    This was very nice.
    It's sad when a comedian does a better job of the anthem than the serious singers.

    I always loved it at local hockey games when they had a singer perform The Anthem without having to drawwwww certain words out, etc. far beyond their design. Like you said, it's about Our Country, not the person singing. While they should sing it well, it's not American Idol audition time!
