This is the tax record for mary's DC house. Do not forget her home in NOLA or the commercial property that she and her husband owns.

When you see Landrieu running attack ads calling (contemptuously) Cassidy a millionaire, you need to ask your self: "Mary how do you pay for this home?"

BTW the annual taxes are $21,460 annually for the home. I wonder what utilities and insurance cost?

    Her husband is Frank Snellings.

The same way all the other 500+ Federal legislators do.......

That's ok though, just vote for a candidate xxx, that will make it all better.

    Your vote counts.

The system isn't the problem, just throw the bastards out.

    Term limits will fix it.

Well, she was the deciding vote for Obamacare.

Maybe Barry introduced her to Tony Rezko.

She was introduced to somebody for that one. That deed (the greatest transfer of economic wealth in U.S. history), didn't go unrewarded.

I still wish I knew who's getting it all?!?

I hate to take up for the witch, but given her income thats not an absurdly priced home by any means.

Hell there are houses in lafayette for half that occupied by people with a fraction of her income.

US senators are paid $174,000 per year.

If you use the normal formula for non-politicians typically a person making this amount of money should be able to afford a $700,000 home. Since it is a two income family lets double that to $1.4 million.

However if you notice the link you will see a source for additional earnings.

you mistakenly presume that salary = income.

she (more her husband) have multiple revenue generating properties and investments. Her salary compared to her income is squat.

If that house isn't in Ward 8; then she is NOT living amongst the rank and file constituents that she and all the other democrat hypocrites profess to represent.

And Wabbit; regardless of how you spin it. I would bet my last dollar she, like all the rest of them, has enriched her personal coffers on the wallets of the taxpayer significantly in her tenure.

Watch for how much money she leaves in her campaign war chest if she loses in November! Did ya'll know she gets to keep what's left?

She can keep every cent of it. If she uses it for personal expenses she only has to pay income taxes on it. Of course she does the accounting. She can donate the money tax free to any 501(c)3 even one that she controls.

BTW you will not see this on nola.com until today, despite the fact that it was news nationwide yesterday.

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/12/politics/sen-mary-landrieu-campaign-finance/index.html

Landrieu spent more than $3,200 in taxpayer money to fly 400 miles round trip from New Orleans to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she attended a $40-per person fundraising lunch with hundreds of women, according to Senate records and Landrieu campaign information. It is illegal to spend government money campaigning.

Bloomberg and Reid BTW love Mary and her anti-gun stance. Bloomberg donates generously to her.

Well as sad a fact as this is; she and her campaign will most likely realize at least 2 weeks out (by heavy polling), if she is going to miss a run off or lose outright. Even less than a week out, they can spend millions on T.V. alone. If she is polling well below the margin of error from a runoff (or if a front running opponent will take it all on that night), I would bet she will not unload that war chest on an all out effort to rally. The incumbents and major fundraising candidates all leave themselves something.

She will walk away with a shitload.

Can anybody substantiate that she can keep unspent campaign funds? That absolutely used to be the case. But I'm fairly confident that was changed during all the campaign finance reform hoopla 10 or 15 years ago. Democrats pushed for it then immediately began looking for ways to skirt it.
