How many CCW holders actually carry

It seems as if everyone is taking concealed carry classes these days. Are there any statistics that show how many permit holders actually carry after taking the class and getting the permit? I'd be surprised if even 50% of those people carry daily.

I don't know of any statistics but I've carried every day since I've received my permit last year.

Before I moved to LA, I carried everywhere everyday, even when I was on the clock I had a NAA .22mag in my pocket. But sinch changing residency I have had to keep in the truck... When I get my LA CPL it will be everyday, everywhere again...

We can start a Louisiana Statistic now.... I carry everyday from the day my license arrived. My wife and my dad took the class, went out and bought their respective CC gun, and immediately put it in the safe where it has been ever since!

I'm thinking about people with little to no handgun experience who can barely pass the shooting qualification.
Those folks should just take a basic pistol course instead.

I'd be surprised if the number is >50% as well, but no idea whereabouts it'd actually be. My dad rarely carries. He's one of those that only carries when he thinks he'll be going somewhere troublesome. I've reminded him of the "If you think you'll need it, why don't you stay home?" and "You never know when/if it'll happen.." but sometimes it's hard for me to change the mind of the man that introduced me to guns when it comes to the topic of guns.

Maybe 50% of the people on a gun/home and gardens forum but far less in the general public.

My permit came through in February of 2012. I do not leave home often. (Many reasons...) When home, I may "practice carry" to get used to a new holster or practice drawing with an UNLOADED gun, or whatever. But when I do leave home, I carry something with me wherever I go. Friends' houses, I might leave a pistol under the front seat. To any other place where it is legal, I'm armed.

I got mine about 1-1/2 ago and I carry anytime I'm out and about. My employer doesn't allow firearms on property which I'm completely againist however In the off chance I would get caught I leave it at home. Other than that I'm armed unless I plan on drinking.

i carry about 50% of the time. Sometimes more sometimes less. I'm on my second permit. My wife got hers and never has carried.

I carry whenever I'm not at school, which is most of the time. Any time I'm Not at school, I carry religiously.

Sure wish we could get that off duty carry on college campuses thing passed...

Everyday for the past 3.5 years. Don't leave home without it and i don't take it off even when I get home until I'm in the shower or bed.
