    Here is where you can get reverse twist drill bits for just such an occasion:


    They used to sell an index of LH twist drill bits with matching easy outs for removal of broken fasteners. You have to have a mill or high end drill press to get it to go backwards or put your belt in a figure 8. I wouldn't do that for too long.

    I'm soooo glad I came across this post. I'm about to build my 1st AR-15 and the receiver is a Anderson receiver. I will DEFINITELY keep this post in mind. Will be pairing it with a Magpul MOE kit I got from PSA. Also using a New Frontier Armory side charging non-reciprocating upper.

    I bought 4 stripped Anderson lowers from a private owner a few months ago and they were all only partially threaded. All I had to do was send the tap down the threads and it took another 4-5 turns to thread the hole through. Blew out the shavings and called it a day. I have no idea why Anderson doesn’t finish them except that if you accidentally ran an overly long screw in there, it would bottom into the fire control group.
