    Received a little 2nd hand .22 for Christmas. It's covered in scratches. Some appear too deep to buff out...:p

    It could just be me but I think I see a pattern to those scratches. I think I see some images in them.

    Looks like Mormon dogs killing christian ducks to me. :)

    Sweet Browning SA-22. Is that a grade 3? I have a pristine grade 2 that my dad gave me 20 years ago. Thanks dad!

    I would just clean it and leave it as is. And thank the person that gave it to you.

    Yes, it's a grade III, circa 1957. My brother found 2 of these in a Colorado gunshop on consignment priced as used modern grade II. Both had been shot, no cases. This one is unsigned, the other is signed Angelo Bee.

    This one is the unsigned one and the worst of the 2, at about 95%+.

    ... As these scratches are deep, I'm thinking spackle and rustoleum ...
