Hunter eduaction courses - where?

My nephew and son want to do some hunting this year and my son is only 13 but my nephew is 18. Can't find a list of local classes being offered. Hell I don't care if I have to drive to BR or something one day to get it done. Anyone have any leads on classes?

There is also an online course they can take and show up for the field day

That might be a real viable choice since it seems like the class seems fairly long

My wife and her sister did the online route and then went to Lafayette to do the field day. They actually enjoyed the field day and then my wife killed her first deer a few weeks later. They did the online part in a long evening.

When I took it many years ago, the field day was just shooting skeet for a couple of hours. I'm not sure if they have changed it now though. That was a fun class actually. One weekend long.

I seem to remember a friend telling me they had to demonstrate firearm safety and shoot 5-7 clays. Don't think there was a whole lot to it
