I'm Inrested to see what everyone likes. Favorites, What you have, What you want?

    Revolvers, T/Cs, bolts?

Feel free to put as much info as possible; Pictures too.

    I'll start:
Both for big game. A Ruger Redhawk 6" SS, 44RM with small optic (trijicon RMR, 2X or 4X fixed scope.) For a bolt gun, Rem XP100 14" brl, 260AI 140Berger VLD Hunting. I don't have these two set up yet, but soon.

I have taken deer with both single and double action revolvers (44 Mag), T/C contenders (30 Herrett & 7X30 Waters), and XP100s (7TCU & 35 Rem). My current go-to handgun is an XP100R in 35 Remington with 180gr Hornady spire point. Given the results I have achieved with all the previous handguns I used, the 35 Rem trumps all the others convincingly. Your suggestion of a 260AI with the 140 Berger should be a fine performer also. The 6.5 is a proven performer on deer size game and you should be able to get enough velocity to do the job in a 260AI. I would add an inch or two of barrel though.

I have killed a bunch of deer, hogs and even a zebra with handguns. My go to deer pistol is a 14" TC with an SSK 6.5 JDJ barrel and a 2-7X Burris. A FA .454 does very well on anything you want to shoot with it. .44 Mag is a good go to revolver, my latest being a SRH that is a true sub 2 MOA gun at 100 yards. For varmints, it is hard to beat a 14" TC in .223. .22 LR, .22 WMR and .22 Hornet are all great for small game and varmints. I brought a friend's .375 JDJ to Africa. That thing was great. It would shoot 270 gr Hornady Spirepoints at 2050 fps into 3 shot cloverleafs at 100 yards. Lots of horsepower to.

I haven't ever shot anything with a handgun, but I have a Super Blackhawk .44 mag w/ 7.5" barrel that I think would be up to the task if I get the opportunity. If I do get that chance and it goes well, I think I'd also like to get a Smith & Wesson 657 (.41 Mag) with a 7.5 inch barrel. I saw one at Hebert guns once with an unfluted cylinder and it was truly a thing of beauty.

    It's been a while since I've broken it out, but mine's A Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag w/7-1/2" barrel (I think:o), topped with a 4x scope....

Other than a hog, it's never harmed anything....:):o

I use a Super Redhawk .44 Mag with a 2X scope. I have killed deer and pigs with it. Works for me. This year I will probably take the scope off and sight it in with the sights on the gun. After Trying it on the range I will see if I want to keep the scope or not. (It makes the gun a little heavy IMO) I have shot a few diffferent .44 Mags, and I like the Super Red Hawk. To each his own.

I've inherited a Ruger GP100 .357 with a 6" barrel from my father-in-law. He first purchased it to go hunting with after his health deteriorated. He lives in Pennsylvania where the big deer are an has taken down a few. However, I haven't used it for hunting...yet. But I like shooting it.

I have not hunted with either, but my Desert Eagle 44 mag shoots about as good of groups as my S&W 460 so I do not know why it would not suffice as a "hunting handgun". (I only shoot 50 yards max as that is as far as I can see well enough to shoot.)
