I've added and checked and re-checked my federal return and I still can't grasp the fact that I'm only getting $52 back. I'm a full-time student with 4 jobs and am not claimed by anyone. I pay all of my bills, including school. Did I mention I was on active duty for 6mos? WTF??

The Gov will give billions to other countries and the shaft to it's own citizens. Thanks a lot ya thievin bastards.

PS: I have extra withholding from every check. What the hell?

I need to go shoot. Where exactly is this "new" buffer zone?

They have been checked and re-checked by multiple sources, including two CPAs.

Ya. I guess i need a 5gal bucket of KY for this.

And they can't show you where your money went? I thought that's the point of getting someone to do your taxes. So they can provide you a spread sheet of where all the money went etc.

Doesn't sound right, but you don't get it back if you don't pay it in....

Double check your marginal rate to make sure it's logical
    Standard deduction taken
    Tuition deduction
You may be able to exempt pay for active duty

I'm pretty sure I'm getting bent over because the army didn't take out enough. It's the only logical explanation.

I look forward to not having to write a check. It looks like I put enough money in tax sheltered accounts to get $250 back, however they are still keeping thousands of dollars. My biggest expense is my house, my second biggest is income tax. If you add in all taxes, then taxes is my biggest expense.

You filled out a form when you started that told them what to take out - a W-4

Yes, but of course in usual gov fashion, my pay was fubar'd. I didn't get paid for 4 mos. I left in May, got back in october. I was only paid for may and june. I just got my back-pay and leave pay in december, only after I got Scalise and Vitter involved.

I'm going to sit down and lay it all out after I get a little rest. I'm at the end of a 37hr day and I'm just tired.

I expected to get hosed, I usually do, but this was just a shock. I mean $52...i can't even fill my truck up for that. But hey, brightside is I don't owe anything..

I would have got hosed to If I hadn't bought my first house last year. I was not in favor of all the stimulus stuff, but I'm going to take my 8 grand and stimulate myself with it.

I'm getting a whopping $2 back. Yes, two bucks. Not upset though. It just means that I didn't give the government an interest-free loan for a year. Being single with a good income is rape come tax-time.

I've worked my ass off my whole life and to this day I don't remember ever getting anything back since marriage and kids. That includes the fact that I used to work 7 days a week at one place, left there and worked for a while traveling all the southeast and Mexico. Always striving to improve my lot in life.

I am disabled now, draw 100% disability and guess what? I had to pay an extra couple thousand, that I don't have, last year and this year looks even worse.

This is the land of the free for some. As for me, I wonder if I'll ever get to the point of owing nothing. My witholding during my employment was always at 33% so I wouldn't get slaughtered and April.

Yes I've done CPAs, H&R Blocks, private services and in the end have to pay. Meanwhile those that do/did nothing are guaranteed income by being locked into slavery through Govt. dependance that we all have the pleasure of paying for. You bet I want LESS GOVERNMENT! We are already a socialist country, WAKE UP!!!!

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (or needs) is a slogan popularized by Karl Marx ...oppps....the other guy...you know who i'm talking about. They had to take it from people that paid in to provide benefits for people that didn't. Pretty simple.
