Well, as of about 1130 this morning I was. Bought a new G17 G4 at Barneys, New Orleans... I'm military, so the price was excellent as I qualify for LEO rates. Came with 3 17rd mags.

I went to Walmart and bought their last 3 Winchester white-box... 100rds $21ea. I don't think you can beat that online anywhere... was totally surprised they had any cheap FMJ stuff. I also got a box of PDX1 $17 and loaded up a mag in the parking lot.

This will be a nite-stand gun and I'm looking for a tac-lite/laser combo. The Streamlight TLR-4 comes highly recommended as a piece that simply works but doesn't break the bank.

Congrats on the Glock!

I'm personally not a fan of lasers, but Streamlight makes good stuff. I have a couple of their TLR-1 and couldn't be happier for the price.

You can't go wrong. If you have any children around and plan to keep it in your nightstand, Reynerson's Gunsmith will install an external safety. I had it done on my Glock 35, when I added a Ghost Trigger. I love the gun.

^Awesome idea on the aftermarket safety... didn't know that was possible.
I've got a basic quick-access safe that will be anchored and chained inside a drawer, so no accidental handling by the kids is likely, but it's nice to know there is that option.

I've been looking at just buying every laser I can and trying to recreate the Predator targeting system... basically to be more bad-ass than any of my friends ever dreamed of.

I know you said it will be a nite-stand gun but If you ever plan on carrying it with a light you might want to think about the Tlr 1 or Tlr 2 or else you might have trouble finding holster with light on the weapon Oh and great choice on the glock
