    I love it.

Another idiot wanna be hillbilly hunter. That's about 80% of them.
You cant fix stupid, find out who owns it as others stated and go
    from there.

I have a camp next to a hugh 5500 acre hunting club.Every year
daybreak on the opening day deer season,I open up the wittle
338 win mag and lapua and the 50.We wait till just as the sun pops
over the horizon, then all hell is broken loose with me and 3 other
buddies, one has full auto.By the time we get done ,around 30 mins
    later,there isn't a deer for 100 miles lol..And there isn't a damnn
thing those idiots can do to stop it.The guy that owns the club has
offered me cash many times ,,I just smile and tell him,we would
rather have fun than money lol..

There's a longer story why the owner and me has problems.Doesn't
matter. That day brings me so many smiles,I just almost pee myself
    every opening day.

Probably one of those hunters who jumps on a 4 wheeler and runs around his property chasing the deer off. Then blames everything else but his own behavior.
Dude... You just perfectly described the one that I have to deal with. And after reading these posts,... I thought I was the only one.

If anything, shooting often will make the deer bolder and less inclined to bolt at gunshots.
That jerk should be thanking you
This is exactly what my father had told my neighbor when he came to pitch a fit about the shooting.
Which, in reality, I had seen multiple deer right behind my targets and tracks all around; definitely can't say the shooting scared them away.

No matter what ya do, property, cars, guns, boats ect. there is always one. One of my best friends has some land. he lives on a small part. the rest is woods.
He had a dear so small it was dog sized. It would come by few times every day. It started to come and look see, closer and closer. Then stated eating out his hand, so he was feeding it like a pet. It would eat out his hand before he gave it a pile.
Every one knew it was his pet deer. But one day It wondered roght off the property just a tad. So a guy he knew shot it. And told everyone. How tender the meat was from the 60-70 pounder.

At times the LWF comes and stops and says hi. and asks if he can short cut ti where he hears shots.
So he could have reported the person who screwed him easy but is not that guy.

Curious, is your property fenced? I like the trail cams idea but proving they are on your property without a fence may be a bit difficult. Good luck with this issue...my wife and I are thinking of buying some property and will consider your dilemma before buying. Thanks for the post.

That's No Deer Hunter--Gun Noise Doesn't Frighten Deer

On Purposely Shooting to **** Off Your Neighbors...
I guess that's ignorance on both sides. First off, shooting firearms doesn't scare any deer into leaving anywhere. And the guy next door should just laugh at the effort his neighbor makes to get up before daylight to waste all his time shooting guns early in the morning. With a 5500 acre lease next door, you will be lucky if you scare any deer into moving ten acres--let alone 100 miles.
I have hunted deer all over Louisiana and Mississippi most of my life. I have managed property/herds for clubs for decades. One of the dumbest ideas yet I have heard coming out of clubs is not allowing their members to sight-in their rifles, or even shoot on club property because the noise "scares" deer. Yet they shrug their shoulders at all the misses and crippling shots by their members.
Even in the Army, on several different bases, we would have to shut down range fire from machine guns and other heavy weapons to let deer wander out of the impact area. At a long-range rifle school in west Texas a few years back, we were shooting down into canyons off a mesa, up to 800 yard shots, while large-racked whitetail bucks wandered around beneath us, oblivious to the sounds of gunfire, or bullets flying over their heads. They quickly acclimate to the sound of gunfire, just like they acclimate to the sound of highways, farm noises, etc.
He doesn't have a deer hunter for a neighbor. He has what is known as a "flaming *******" for a neighbor.
Idiots like that know so little about deer, it is doubtful peace can be made with him. Getting trail cameras and putting them everywhere, getting pictures of him breaking the law, and then prosecuting will solve the problem.
