I am a 19 years old residence of New Orleans, La and I own a 12ga shotgun. I would like a recommendation on a shooting range that i can go to. Thanks for your help.

    Yung Rasta,

Honey Island Range is cheap (I think 6 bucks) and if your not hunting all you need is one of these: hunting, fishing, or Wild Louisiana Stamp. Most residents of LA have one or all of those. It is a nice range and has a shotgun, rifle, and pistol station as well as a bunch of volunteers that are super nice and show you the ropes about range rules.

Also there is bayou dragon which I have no experience with....

For what kind of shooting? Sporting clays/skeet/trap, or to pattern your buckshot?
Tallow creek is across the lake from you towards madisonville and has all the clay setup(s) I mentioned.

Are you saying I need a hunting or fishing licences to go to the range?

Honey Island shooting range is a Wildlife Management Area, land that is owned by the state. In order to use it you need either a hunting/fishing license or one of the other very small fee "stamps". For a privately owned range, no, you do not need one. If all you are doing is patterning buckshot, I'd check out Nicks or Tallow Creek and see which is closest to you if you want to shoot outdoors, or check out BayouDragon as mentioned above.
