I have been shooting a Ruger New Vaquero 357 mag and now I have an itching to get a 45colt Ruger New Vaquero . I just love the look of that big ole hole at the end of the barrel of the 45colt. Down side is how much lead you sling down range just for plinking. I might go look for a used one. You guys can save me a lot of money by talking me out of it.

Other than punch paper , what are you going to do with it ? You can plink with a 9mm or load your Ruger with .38 special for half the cost . Those old SA pistols are cool , but the " wow " factor wears off quick .

As for costs go......Well that is why I reload. I would not shoot them much if I had to buy a box of 45 Colt at around 40.00+/box

I tell you what. Those pics make me feel like I am 18yrs old again. I do reload and I am shooting 45colt in my lever rifle. I am trying to build up a supply of brass, primers, powder and lead. funny how 2 years ago I could not find primers but now I can't find lead.
