Auto loader would be a toss up between a hi-pernt fo-t or anything made by Jennings.

The revolver is easier. 2" barrel covered in rust with ducktape handles preferably in 22lr but I'd settle for 32 short.

    Or just my glock 35 and S&W 686 4".

Don't poo the .40. There will likely be as much (perhaps more) .40 ammunition "lying around" for the taking in a SHTF situation than even 9mm. This is why I bought a pistol in that caliber in the first place.

Hence the reason there is ALWAYS a .40 Glock in my possession. Usually a 27

It is apparent that there are two basic schools of thought with those participating in this thread. Some of ya'll are thinking general-purpose use, and some of us are thinking pure defense against our fellow man.

Would that be optimism vs pragmatism??? :D

    .

Lulz. Interpret how you wish. I'm really just looking to see what people like when it comes down to it.

Would have to go with a G17 and a Smith 27/28 4" barrel.

The 17 just flat out works for me, and I love the feel of a N frame 357.

If not that combo, then I would choose the desert eagle 50 and the s&w 500. Both are great for small game vaporization, and can be used as a handy club should the need arise. Or drop either in a sock for the ultimate sd weapon.
