i have a choice of one, and the rest are getting sold in an estate sale.
    20140927_091508_zps6dcb108a.jpg

in order to keep this thread less pic heavy, i will post a more detailed pic of which ever one catches your eye.
from left to right, there is a springfield armory crack barrel side by side 16 gauge shotgun, a win. model 67 single shot bolt action 22 short, a higgins sears and roebuck crack barrel side by side .410, and a really ugly badly customized single shot crack barrel brazillian 12 gauge. the one in the back is a thompson .50 muzzle loader with a scope mount welded on the barrel :(, a mint 870 full choke barrel (barrel only), and in the box a 1857 navy colt cap and ball replica 36 cal.
some of the cases are really nice imo. the only one i could actually use for hunting would be muzzle loader... but i'm kinda sketchy about firing it with that weld.
i got one day to decide. thanx b.s.

the 12 gauge is extremely short and the stock looks like it was made in someones back yard while they were drinking and playing with fiberglass.

the 16 gauge's markings are only springfield arms company and pat applied for with 1302 under the barrel. i'm having trouble finding this exact one on the net.

I've always heard them referred to as "Sweet 16s" because apparently everyone who owns one loves it. I've never heard of "Fabulous .410s" or "Terrific 12s", just sayin'.

    Taken from Blue Book publications:

    J. Stevens Arms Co. MODEL 315 SxS
12, 16, 20 ga., or .410 bore, DT, extractors, hammerless, case colored frame, walnut stock and forearm, model identification is on top lever, this model also was mfg. under various trade names, including Riverside and Springfield.

    100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
    $225 $185 $150 $140 $125 $115 $100

If you had a model number on the .410 I might be able to dig up something for you. I would not be surprised if it was another Stevens 315. I would personally go with the .410. Depending on condition, .410's bring $300 to $500 at local gunshows and are fun to shoot!
You can't shoot steel out of the 16, it is probably too old and 16 ammo is normally difficult to find. It also looks like on the picture, the stock is cracked on the 16, right by the left side of the receiver.

    Just my 2cents worth. I have 3 - .410s and 3 - 16.s

One more thing - the phrase "sweet sixteen" refers to a make of Browning 16ga automatic, I think made in Belgium by FN(?). It does not apply to all 16 gauges!

    Taken from Blue Book Publications:

    MODEL 311 SxS
12, 16, 20 ga., or .410 bore, 3 in. chambers, double triggers, extractors, VR. Disc. 1989.

    100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
    $275 $235 $200 $175 $160 $145 $130

    Last MSR was $309.
    Add 30% for .410 bore.
    Add 20% for 16 or 20 ga.
Add 200% for early models in .410 bore w/walnut stocks and case colors.

So at 95% grading the .410 would be priced out at $260 according to the book. I don't see any case coloring in your pic and the stock looks more birch than walnut to me but if I am wrong about that the value would increase to $520.

All that having been said, it is 11:57pm by my clock, which gun did you choose???

That would be a really tough decision, but I think I would go with the navy revolver. To be in that case, it was obviously well loved. If not that, whichever of the sxs's is in the best condition.

Yes the navy colt was well loved. It comes with an old leather holster, belt, two pouches, belt and buckle, oiled leather backpack and a lot of memorabilia. And a bullhorn powder flask that he hand etched a wildlife scene on. Although it was a replica, he went the whole 9. I believe he was in some re-enactments while he lived in texas.
