    Nice detail in the blacks. The lack of blooming in the white background leads me to believe you either a) did an amazing job lighting a seamless backdrop or b) did some dodging and magic wand work in PP? :)

    neither. multiple exposures to get the gun completely right as well as completely wash out the background. This is a somewhat HDR picture but not exactly.

    i wish i had a nice lightbox, but i took this pic with sunlight coming in through a window on a few sheets of computer paper.
